Common questions
How do I add a city?
Open Meridian and tap the dashed Add city card at the end of the list. Search by city, country or time zone. Your home city is picked from your device's own time zone on first launch, so the app is useful before you add anything.
What is free, and what is Pro?
The timeline, up to four cities, the date strip and sharing a time are all free, with no account and no sign-up. Pro adds people with their own working hours, Find a slot, Add to Calendar, and unlimited cities.
Is Pro a subscription?
No. Pro is a single purchase that unlocks the app for good on your Apple Account. There is nothing to renew and nothing to cancel.
I bought Pro and it is not showing on my new phone.
Sign in with the same Apple Account you bought it with, open the Pro screen from Settings or the Team tab, and tap Restore purchases.
I want a refund.
Apple handles all App Store refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Tell us what went wrong too, so we can fix it.
Does Meridian need an internet connection?
No. There is no account and no server behind Meridian, so every city, person and time it shows is worked out on the device. It runs the same on a plane. The one thing that needs a connection is buying or restoring Pro, which goes through Apple.
A city is showing the wrong time.
Meridian reads the time zone rules from iOS itself, so daylight saving and the half-hour and three-quarter-hour zones such as Kolkata, Kathmandu and Chatham follow whatever your device knows. If a time looks wrong, check Settings on the device, General, Date & Time, and that iOS is up to date.
How do I set my own working hours?
Settings, under Working hours. Set the start, the end and which days you work. Find a slot uses those hours, and each person on your team carries their own.
Can I change the accent colour or the app icon?
Yes, in Settings. Seven accents and six app icons. Picking an icon moves the accent to match it, and you can change the accent again afterwards without the icon following.
Is there a web version?
Yes, at meridian.pulipe.com. It is free and needs no account. The Pro features live in the iPhone app.
Are there ads or tracking?
None. No ads, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no tracking code of any kind. See the Privacy Policy.
Starting over
Your cities, people and preferences live only on the device. Deleting Meridian removes all of it, and a fresh install starts from your home city again. On the web, clearing site data for meridian.pulipe.com does the same.
