Meridian Privacy Policy
Last updated
This policy covers Meridian, our world clock and meeting planner for iPhone, and the Meridian web app at meridian.pulipe.com. Pulipe is based in India and can be reached at [email protected].
The short version
Meridian collects nothing. There are no accounts, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking software of any kind. We run no server for Meridian, so the app has nothing of ours to talk to. Its only network traffic is Apple's own In-App Purchase check, described below. Every city, person and preference you enter stays on your own device.
What we do not collect
- No names, email addresses, phone numbers, or birthdays.
- No photos, contacts, calendar, or location data. Meridian never asks for any of them.
- No device advertising identifier (IDFA). We do not serve ads.
- No analytics, advertising or crash-reporting software of any kind.
- No account, so nothing to link your use of the app to a person.
What stays on your device
The app remembers the cities you added, the people on your team, your working hours, and your display preferences such as theme and clock format. This is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's standard on-device storage. It never leaves the device, we cannot see it, and deleting the app erases it permanently. The web app does the same thing in your browser's local storage, which you can clear at any time from your browser settings.
The home city you pick
The app suggests a home city from your device's own time zone setting. That is read on the device and used on the device. It is not a location reading, it is not precise, and it is not sent anywhere.
Sharing a time
When you share a meeting time, the app writes the text and a link and hands both to iOS to share however you choose. Everything in that link is encoded into the address itself, which means the city names and times you chose to share travel to whoever you send them to, and to nobody else. We do not store the link, we cannot read it, and there is no record of it on our side. Opening such a link on the website loads it from the address in your browser alone.
The website
meridian.pulipe.com is a set of static files served by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web request, loading the page carries your IP address and is recorded in Cloudflare's standard server logs. We do not use those logs to build profiles, we do not link them to any person, and we do not combine them with anything else. The page sets no cookies and runs no analytics.
Subscriptions and payment
Meridian offers an optional purchase, made through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Apple handles the entire transaction. We never see or receive your card number, billing address, or Apple Account details. The app receives only an anonymous receipt from Apple confirming whether a valid purchase exists on the device. Apple's own privacy policy governs the payment itself.
Sharing and selling
We do not sell, rent, or share personal data. We hold none to sell: the only personal data connected to Meridian is what sits on your own device, and we have no copy of it.
Deleting your data
Deleting Meridian from your iPhone removes everything it stored. In the web app, clearing site data for meridian.pulipe.com in your browser does the same. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, write to [email protected] and we will remove it.
Children
Meridian is a general-audience productivity app and is not directed at children. Because it collects nothing from anyone, there is no children's data for a parent to review or request the deletion of.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will update the date at the top of this page and note the change in the app's release notes.
